INGREDIENTS: Pastry: Pastry flour, vegetable shortening, eggs, water, sugar, vinegar, salt. Filling: Rhubarb, strawberries, sugar, flour, orange juice and zest.
HOW TO MAKE:
Our pies are made by hand in our kitchen in Rosemont, Ontario.
We select only the finest fresh and local produce. Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove packaging and place pie on a foil lined tray. Bake for 15 mins. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F and bake for 45 mins. Check temperature. Continue cooking in 15 min. intervals until food reaches an internal temperature of 140°F.
Remove from oven and let pie sit for 1 hr. before slicing. Serve with Kawartha Dairy ice cream or whipped cream.
For best results, cook from frozen.
